Tube/Pipe Laser Cutting

Ultima Metals offers precision tube and pipe laser cutting for round, square, rectangular, and structural profiles up to 4.5″ diameter and 22 feet in length. We cut complex miters, copes, notches, and slot patterns directly from your 3D file – consistent geometry on every piece, whether it’s a 10-part prototype or a 200-part production kit.

Our tube laser customers build race-winning chassis, machine frames, marine structural assemblies, and locomotive components. If your work involves welded tube structure and you need parts that fit up clean and weld fast, this is what we do.

Custom laser cut 4.5″ OD x 1/4″ wall thickness stainless tubing parts.

Profiles/Shapes

  • Round Tubing (1″ to 6″ Diameter)
  • Square Tubing (1″ to 4 1/2″ Width)
  • Rectangular Tubing
  • Structural Channel (L-shape, C-shape)

Materials

Please see below for materials and respective wall thicknesses.

  • Stainless Steel: 0.015″ – 0.188″
  • Aluminum: 0.015″ – 0.188″
  • Carbon Steel: 0.015″ – 0.250″
  • Alloy Steel: 0.015″ – 0.188″

Max Tube/Shape Lengths

Our advanced tube laser cutting machine can accommodate up to 22 ft. length materials, and with our sophisticated nesting software, we can optimize material usage to achieve an impressive 99% efficiency rate. This intelligent software expertly sorts and nests parts to minimize waste, reducing scrap rates and saving you costs.

Why Tube Laser Matters for Welded Assemblies

Manual tube cutting creates variation. Slightly different miter angles, inconsistent cope profiles, cuts that need hand-fitting before they’ll weld. Our tube laser cuts to file – same geometry on every part, every time. For a chassis builder or structural fabricator, that means faster fit-up, cleaner welds, and less rework across the entire assembly.

Who We Work With

Chassis builders running 4130 chromoly and DOM kits. Marine fabricators cutting stainless and aluminum structural tube. Locomotive components manufacturers needing carbon steel structure profiles. Machine builders combining tube frame with sheet metal panels – which we can also laser cut and form on our flat laser and press brake, all as one order.

If you’ve been using a saw, cold saw, or manual notcher to prep tube for welding, tube laser will change your workflow. Upload a STEP or IGES file and see what we can do.
